CopyClip ("we," "our," or "us") is developed by DevsLoop. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the CopyClip mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Clipboard Data
CopyClip saves text content from your device clipboard when you open the App. This data is:
- Stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
- Optionally synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit (if you enable iCloud Sync)
- Never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers
Subscription & Purchase Data
If you purchase a subscription or lifetime plan, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous App User ID
- Purchase receipt data (provided by Apple)
- Subscription status information
We do not collect your name, email address, payment details, or any other personally identifiable information through RevenueCat.
Analytics & Diagnostics
We may collect anonymized, aggregated analytics through Firebase Analytics to understand app usage patterns. This includes:
- App opens and screen views
- Feature usage frequency
- Crash reports and performance data
- Device type and OS version
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Provide and maintain the App's clipboard management functionality
- Process and verify your subscription status
- Improve the App's performance, stability, and user experience
- Fix bugs and troubleshoot issues
Data Storage & Security
Local Storage
All clipboard data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data is protected by your device's built-in security, including device passcode and encryption.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud Sync, your clipboard data is synced through Apple's CloudKit service. This data is:
- Encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- Stored in your personal iCloud account
- Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
Biometric Security
The App supports Face ID / Touch ID to lock individual clips or the entire app. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework and is never accessed or stored by CopyClip.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
Data Retention
Your clipboard data is retained on your device until you delete it manually or the auto-delete setting removes it. Pinned items are exempt from auto-delete.
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently deleted. iCloud data may persist in your iCloud account until you remove it.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: View all saved clips within the App
- Export: Export your data as JSON, CSV, or TXT at any time
- Delete: Delete individual clips or all data from within the App
- Portability: Import and export your clipboard history freely
- Opt-out: Disable iCloud Sync or notifications at any time in Settings
Children's Privacy
CopyClip is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
